Soap Gems® - Bath Jewels

Created 15 years ago by Todd, an artist whose education covered such varied subjects as Conceptual Art, Geology, Cooking, Gardening and a bit of Chemistry, Soap Gems® came to be one cold winter morning under the shower. As there was no more soap, he pressed together all the little scraps of soap he could find in the house. What he then saw inspired the works of art that are Soap Gems®. A creative mind, and seven years of mixing aromatic herbs, essential oils and other high quality ingredients changed the nature of bathing forever. Soap Gems® are entirely hand-made. No industrial manufacture could possibly replicate our Earth's Precious Stones so faithfully. Just like real Precious Stones, each Soap has it's own individual beauty, and no two are exactly alike. Nearly 180 steps are necessary to recreate in each Soap Gem® the beauty that takes Nature millions of years. Each soap is then individually hand-hewn, and not moulded. This explains the slight variations in weight, as although the label indicates 170 gr., the real weight of each Soap is between 170 to 200 gr. The marbling, colours and reflections go all the way through each soap. As they gently cleanse, these exceptional soaps are slowly polished like stream stones until they become Bath Jewels, remaining just as beautiful until they weather completely away.
